Alexandre Malafaye
Alexandre Malafaye is president and founder of Synopia, an independent think tank created in 2012, whose work aims to improve the effectiveness and ethics of governance models, practices and strategies. An entrepreneur since the age of 18, he first ran a family business, then set up two companies, in services and fashion. In 1993, Alexandre joined Compagnie Générale de Santé, before joining Sodexo from 1996 to 2008. With both groups, he held a number of operational management positions. A writer, Alexandre published five thriller novels between 2008 and 2013, and in 2014, the essay “Reprenons le pouvoir – Manifeste pour le droit des Français à être bien gouvernés”. A regular columnist in the written press, he is also a frequent speaker on TV and radio. Alexandre also teaches at Sciences Po and is an auditor of the IHEDN, a frigate captain (reservist) in the French Navy, and a member of the Société des gens de lettres.
