Barbara Zehnpfenning

Prof. Dr. Barbara Zehnpfennig is a political scientist specializing in political theory and the history of ideas. Until 2022, she held a professorship at the University of Passau. Her research focuses on classical political philosophy, theories of totalitarianism, and the foundations of democratic thought. She is a member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 2021.
