Christopher Degelmann

Christopher Degelmann holds the August Boeckh Visiting Professorship for Ancient History at Humboldt University, which was awarded to him in recognition of the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize from the German Research Foundation. He is a member of the Junge Akademie at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, as well as a fellow of the Daimler and Benz Foundation. Fellowships have taken him, among other places, to Edinburgh, Dresden, and Bonn, where—like in Berlin—he conducts research on topics related to political culture, especially concerning rumors, alternative facts, and belief in conspiracies in Greco-Roman antiquity.
